Empowering Survivors
Welcome to Safe Harbor Healing — a compassionate, trauma-informed online space designed to support and empower survivors of childhood sexual abuse, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Our mission is to provide a safe, welcoming community where survivors can find connection, resilience, and the resources to thrive.

Founded by Patrice Patton-Campbell, LPC, NCC, CTP, a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Trauma Professional, and PhD Candidate in Community Psychology, Safe Harbor Healing brings together years of experience in trauma recovery. With expertise in creating supportive, community-centered spaces, Patrice integrates evidence-based therapeutic practices with a focus on empowerment and holistic healing.

At Safe Harbor, we believe healing is a journey best taken together. Our services include Healing Circles, individual and family therapy, and professional training along with support groups and workshops, all designed to create a safe space for survivors to reclaim their strength and resilience.
A metaphor for safety and refuge, where individuals can find peace and healing, much like a harbor provides protection.

About Safe Harbor Healing
Safe Harbor is a metaphor for safety and refuge, where individuals can find peace and healing, much like a harbor provides protection from the storm. This space is primarily dedicated to Healing Circles—a safe, compassionate virtual environment designed specifically for survivors of childhood sexual abuse, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Through these monthly sessions, survivors connect with one another, share their experiences, and access the tools and resources necessary for their healing journey.

"Finding Strength in My Story: A Survivor's Journey"
My Story
Growing up, I faced experiences that no child should ever have to endure. For years, I carried the weight of silence, fear, and confusion, not knowing how to speak about the pain I was experiencing. The scars from these years have shaped who I am today—often in ways that are hard to put into words. My journey has been filled with moments of darkness, but it’s also been a journey of survival and strength. I’m still healing, still working through the layers of trauma, but I know now that healing is not linear—it’s a process, and every day is part of that fight.

A Message for Survivors
To anyone who has experienced similar pain: You are not alone. This journey is complicated, and it often feels like an endless battle, but there is strength in each step, no matter how small it may seem. I share my story because I want survivors to know that it’s okay to still be in the process. It’s okay to not have all the answers yet. What matters is that you keep moving forward. You are deserving of peace, of healing, and of reclaiming your life, and this space is for those who are ready to take that next step—no matter where you are in your journey.

About Me.
A Survivor Helping Survivors"
Patrice is a pioneering force in the field of mental health, blending clinical therapy and community psychology to offer a dynamic and holistic approach to healing. As both a Clinical Therapist and Community Psychologist, Patrice works at the intersection of individual therapy and community transformation, believing that true healing occurs when both the person and the community are addressed.

In her clinical practice, Patrice specializes in trauma-informed care, play therapy, and cuples counseling, guiding individuals and families through personal struggles and complex trauma. Her therapeutic style is direct, supportive, and deeply empathetic, rooted in an understanding of how trauma impacts not only individuals but also their communities.
As a Community Psychologist, Patrice advocates for systemic change, emphasizing the importance of social support networks and community resources. Through her research and leadership, she focuses on integrating social capital with formal mental health services, particularly for marginalized populations, including survivors of human trafficking and other trauma.
Patrice's mission is to create spaces of healing that honor both the individual and the larger social context in which they live. Whether helping a child process trauma through play therapy or guiding a community of survivors toward resilience, Patrice is dedicated to breaking down the barriers that often prevent individuals and communities from accessing quality mental health services. She believes that healing is not only an individual journey but also a collective one, and her work reflects this by empowering both people and the communities they belong to
